We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Director to join our growing team. Based in Boston, this high-impact role will focus on expanding our market presence across the biotech, pharma, and contract research organization (CRO) sectors.
As a proven sales professional, you will develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth, build long-lasting relationships, and champion Perceptive Discovery’s solutions in a highly competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a robust business development strategy to drive revenue in the biotech, pharma, and CRO segments
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across target accounts
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their discovery and development needs and positioning Perceptive Discovery’s solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and delivery teams to ensure client success
- Accurately forecast sales activity and revenue pipelines, reporting regularly to senior leadership
Key Requirements:
- Proven track record in business development or sales within life sciences, with direct experience selling to CROs, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies
- Strong network across the Boston biopharma ecosystem and beyond
- Deep understanding of the drug discovery and development process
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for delivering value to clients
- Ability to travel as required within the territory
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and proficient sales experience in a relevant field
- Significant B2B sales experience, preferably in clinical research services market.
- English: Fluent
